RSPL Rumble: Young guns! - Schoolboys to look out for this season
The start of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) is expected to run concurrently with the new schoolboy football season, and though rules prohibit student-athletes from playing in both competitions simultaneously, there are a number of players who are expected to shine for their clubs when the schoolboy football season comes to a close in November.
National senior men's goalkeeper, Jeadine White, will continue in his role as the number one shot-stopper for Cavalier FC after his final year at St Andrew Technical High School.
Wolmers' Boys School defender, Nickache Murray, played a vital role for Rudolph Speid's side last year and will continue to do so this RSPL season.
Clarendon College's striker Nicque Delay made his debut for Cavalier last season, after a stunning display for the Chapelton-based institution in the daCosta Cup, and his coach Rudolph Speid believes with his growth, he should make an invaluable contribution for his side this year.
According to Speid, 16-year-old Dwayne Atkinson, who plays midfield for Kingston College, and Shaniel Thomas (17) of Jamaica College will make their debut for his club this season and are not to be taken lightly.
Charlie Smith High School's Renaldo Cephas is also expected to make his debut for Arnett Gardens this season after couple of great years in the Jerome Waite-coached Manning Cup side.
