Nesbeth won’t spill wedding secrets
Nesbeth is a man in love, but when it comes to tying the knot, he's keeping the details under wraps.
The My Dream crooner, who got engaged to fiancee Tasha Manley last November, says he has been swarmed with questions about the big day.
"That's the question everybody wants to know," he told THE STAR.
"A number of media houses and fans have been bombarding me ever since my engagement to my empress," he added.
Despite the wedding bells ringing in the distance, the reggae star Nesbeth isn't letting the sound out just yet.
"The truth is, love is already a wedding in itself when two hearts come together as one. But as for the 'big day', stay tuned," he said.
"Everything will unfold in due time. Just know that when it comes, the world will hear about it," he added.
Meanwhile, the talented vocalist was in action last Tuesday when he performed at the inauguration ceremony for Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness at King's House. It was the second time performing at the event in nine years. Back in March 2016, Nesbeth turned the lawns of King's House into a celebration ground when he performed his runaway hit, My Dream, a favourite of Holness'.
Fast-forward nearly 10 years, and the singer was called on once again to deliver the same anthem--this time marking Holness' historic third term.
"It was a powerful moment for me," Nesbeth told THE STAR.
"Being connected with the journey of the Prime Minister, from his first inauguration to this third momentous occasion felt like a lifetime achievement award," he said.
"To be the first reggae artiste invited twice, almost a decade later, to perform My Dream again at such a historic event is truly a testament to the staying power of that song," he added.
Though the track has been out for years, Nesbeth insists its energy hasn't faded.
"The song still carries that same energy, maybe even stronger," he said, while adding that new music is in the works.
"I'm always in the studio, creating and fine-tuning. Right now, I have some fresh tracks that I believe will connect deeply with the people because they speak to real life, our struggles, triumphs, and dreams. Music is my way of giving back to life, and before the end of the year, Nesbeth will definitely be bringing a few more singles to the people," he said.
Additionally, the singer talked about the possibility of an album release in short order.
"An album is definitely in the pipeline. I've been working on a body of work that I want to represent where Jamaica--and the wider world are right now in terms of mindset and values," he said.
Internationally, fans can also look forward to live performances in Europe and Africa.
