Dunbeholden resign MBU to second straight JPL loss
January 24, 2022
Dunbeholden eased past Montego Bay United (MBU) 3-0 with a double-strike from Atapharoy Bygrave in their Jamaica Premier League (JPL) game at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Monday.
Bygrave got the St Catherine team off to a strong start when he headed home from a corner only three minutes into the contest.
A mix-up in the MBU defence on another set piece let in Bygrave for the second in the 42nd minute, sending his team into halftime leading 2-0.
Kimoni Bailey's shot deflected off a defender and passed MBU goalkeeper Darrien Tummings to take the score to 3-0 in the 68th minute.
Dunbeholden join Mount Pleasant and Waterhouse at the top of the JPL standings with maximum six points.
