Popular dancehall couple, KipRich and Kizzy Don, are asking for prayers after their baby daughter was born prematurely last Friday, while they were in Colombia, South America. The baby, who has been named Miracle, weighed in at one and a half pounds (700 grammes).

"She's stable in the incubator in the hospital in Colombia ... she was born at six months one week," a very concerned KipRich told THE STAR. "Yes ... right now we are asking for prayers."

The due date for Kizzy's delivery was in April.

Sharing some more details, KipRich added, "The baby was born on January 16 little after 2 a.m. Kizzy is fine healthwise, but just concerned about the baby. It's her first child so sometimes she breaks down crying."

KipRich had travelled to Colombia to perform at a show in, San Andres, on Saturday, January 17. Kizzy Don, 28, a popular content creator on social media and an up-and-coming entertainer, had accompanied KipRich on the trip overseas.

"I am here doing everything to keep strong for both of them ... Miracle and her Mom Kizzy. We don't know when we will be able to leave here because we have to make arrangements for the baby to go to the other island for better care at a hospital with more facilities to accommodate the cause," said KipRich, whose real name is Marlon Plunkett.

He told THE STAR in an earlier interview that Kizzy had been worried about the pregnancy in the early stage, and he wanted to ensure that he was there for her in every possible way.

RELATIONSHIP

Kizzy Don and KipRich's relationship was once labelled a publicity stunt, forcing the couple to convince fans that they were really together. The two are known to share their relationship journey online with fans, and have built up quite a following on various social media platforms. Kizzy, whose real name is Danielle Banton, has close to 300,000 followers on TikTok alone.

On Christmas Day 2025, KipRich, who is already a father, announced that he and Kizzy were expecting their first child together. The announcement caused a frenzy with lots of congratulatory messages from friends and followers.

Kizzy has since done the expected pregnancy photo shoot and has repeatedly expressed a desire to provide a better life for their child, than what she herself experienced.

" I've learnt a lot based on how I was brou ght up and because of that, I'm going to ensure that my child does not go through anything that I went through. I know what it's like, I've been in it, when you're in need and yuh madda can't provide...while living in a fix up fowl coop," Kizzy told THE STAR in an interview two weeks ago.

She also said at the time that although her first trimester of her pregnancy was difficult, she was "doing fine now" and was expecting to have a healthy baby. She also gave props to KipRich for being a considerate partner and father-to-be, noting that " when [she] was very sick in my first trimester and vomiting, Kippo walk behind me and clean up di face basin, anywhere mi vomit because sometimes when I do I had to just lay right there".

The couple, who have shared that they have marriage plans, also collaborate musically with their song, Get Things, making an impact in the dancehall last year.
